　　 Commonly used metal gaskets for forced sealing include metal flat gaskets, wave gaskets, toothed gaskets, and ring gaskets (including octagonal gaskets and oval gaskets). These gaskets are more complicated to manufacture, especially for gaskets with large diameters (such as ring gaskets), which require multiple processes of rolling, welding, flaw detection, and turning. The accuracy and surface roughness requirements are relatively high, so the cost is also high. Used for high temperature, high pressure, non-metallic pads and harsh conditions that metal-clad pads cannot handle. It can be used in high temperature (1000℃) and corrosive conditions, and can withstand high pressure or alternating pressure (1500bar)

　　 According to the temperature and physical properties of the medium, metal gaskets usually choose aluminum, copper, mild steel, pure iron, stainless steel, titanium, Monel and other materials. For example, aluminum and mild steel are commonly used in ammonia plants, while 1Cr18Ni9Ti and 0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti are mostly used in urea plants; 1Cr18Ni9Ti and Monel can be used at high temperatures, and 0Cr18Ni9 is more suitable at low temperatures.
